Music brings generations together. Today more than ever before. Whether you are 12, 18, 30, 40 .... 50.....we all respect the strum of Zeppelin's tune. That said there is a bridge that has merged two generations: musically, perceptively, and in turn expressively. We are staying younger longer. The modern day 40 year old could easily be mistaken for 27. RE:GENERATION. It's not only a socialistic reality, but also a music phenomenon. Five DJs turn the tables on the history of music: DJ Premier, Mark Ronson, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and The Crystal Method as they "recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. From the classical perfection of the Berklee Symphony Orchestra to the bayou jams of New Orleans jazz. The five distinctive DJs collaborate with some of today's biggest musicians to discover how our musical past is influencing the future".

A long weekend in LA may be the greatest escape. I mean what's not to like about walking down Abbot Kinney in eighty degree weather dans February? Mais c'est pas normal. It was great to visit...to re-experience the effortless, almost sloppy chic that stamps LA. Kimy's style is the true embodiment of LAYORKARIS*... She is free enough to wear chucks, chic enough to wear pleats, and cool enough to wear plaid. J'adore.

There is something so revealing about being photographed in a mirror. It publicly exposes how we perceive ourselves. A vulnerable encounter. For me this photoshoot is special, and meaningful... we've discussed boy meets girl style time and again and have confessed our adoration for it. The unexpected here though lays in the chemistry derived from an almost innocent sexuality. From a religious standpoint, being in the bathroom avec une fille is more likely than not a faux pas. Yet when you step back and look at this from a removed angle, this photoshoot captures something so much greater. The hat, the angle, the interchangable.....is not only a statement, but it also represents the essence of tresridicool. Mad respect yo.

Gosh there is always something alluring about Spring. Perhaps it's the anticipation of a cherry blossomed Central Park...or the fresh feeling of flirting with color after a dark winter. Really though, it's probably a little bit of both. I'm not saying that a cold draft doesn't have it's snuggly perks, but at this point the freeing thought of wearing sheer silks and lightweight cotton in a pastel palette is almost taboo...

Jason Wu is talented enough to dress the First Lady, and smart enough to partner with Target. Wu Target Clan in full effect. There are so many reality TV shows that celebrate the unimportance of random peoples lives. The CFDA on the other hand deliberately and selectively chooses legit creative visionaries to highlight. Jason Wu was one. His collaboration plays with boy meet girl, pairing bows avec button down shirts, and his mix of colors and genres is oh so tresridicool. Jason Wu we love you.
